News was that there is growing interest in short scale offset guitars, so here at Kauffmann we thought it was time for our next model: The Kauffmann ’63 JG. It features a paulownia body, short scale (24″) maple neck with rosewood fingerboard. For better sustain it comes with a Halon bridge and vibrato which does not only gives you more sustain. It is much more stable so you stay in tune and you can intonate the guitar perfectly. Two Lollar JG pickups with classic wiring and switches.
Our JM model is as good as it gets, with the best hardware and tone and materials. This guitar is deep and rich, suits very well in every style with enough girth for hard rock. We improved this iconic offset model by giving the neck a slight angle to the body. This gives more string pressure on the bridge. This has a significant effect on the sound of the guitar. It is more resonant and it sustains better. The guitar feels perfectly balanced and the sustain you feel and get is amazing.
